CTOnews.com, December 10 (Xinhua) Great Wall Motor's KD plant in Pakistan recently ushered in the 3000 Harvard H6 HEV off the line one year after it was put into production, reaching the "milestone" of the first place in the local new energy vehicle market share, according to official account.

In the first phase of the project, two SUV models, Harvard H6 / H6 HEV and Harvard JOLION, have been assembled, of which the Harvard H6 HEV is the first locally assembled new energy vehicle in Pakistan.

In addition, the new energy penetration rate of passenger cars in Pakistan has increased to 2.3% from 0% last year. The passenger car market in Pakistan is expected to sell less than 100000 vehicles this year, the lowest level in the past 20 years, according to PAMA (Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association).

In November last year, Great Wall Motor KD plant in Pakistan was officially put into production, with a planned capacity of 20,000 vehicles per year. The plant has become another important overseas KD plant for Great Wall Motor after Ecuador, Malaysia, Tunisia and other places.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, Great Wall Motor entered the Pakistani market in October 2021 with a full-vehicle export model, launching the third-generation Harvard H6 and Harvard JOLION locally.
