According to reports, the 800 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity generated by the Qinshan Nuclear Power Station can meet the electricity needs of urban and rural residents across the country for nearly seven months, which can save more than 200 million tons of standard coal and reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide by 740 million tons. Equivalent to the area of 500 West Lake scenic spots for afforestation, it provides a strong support for energy supply.
