Before Bloomberg reported the news, the British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) issued an announcement that it would listen to the views of the company and third parties to investigate the partnership between Microsoft and OpenAI.

CMA said it would like to hear advice on whether the Microsoft-OpenAI deal has affected competition in the UK's AI sector.

Microsoft responded to CMA that its relationship with OpenAI has promoted competition in the AI field while maintaining the independence of the two companies.
