Lenovo Group, together with International data Company IDC, released the industry's first "AI PC Industry (China) White Paper" (hereinafter referred to as "White Paper"), which newly defined AI PC and pointed out that AI PC is a personal AI assistant.

At present, generative AI technology based on large models has made significant and rapid development, showing amazing intelligent emergence ability, stronger creativity and general applicability of general scenarios. However, for the sake of data security and privacy protection, as well as the ability to enjoy large models with higher efficiency and lower cost, people not only want to get the powerful general services of public models, but also hope that AI can really understand itself, provide exclusive and personalized personal services, and fully protect personal data and privacy security.

Amu said that as the leader of global PC and Chinese PC, Lenovo and IDC, which has been deeply cultivated in the IT industry for many years, have completed the preliminary research and insight of AI PC in China. The purpose of holding the AI PC Industrial Innovation Forum and issuing the "White Paper" is to communicate with people from all walks of life in the industry and explore the ways and methods to accelerate the development of AI PC.

He further pointed out that the maturity of the AI PC industry needs a process, and industry participants such as machine manufacturers, models, applications, and computing power need to work together with users to create a new ecology of AI in China, and look forward to working together to promote the early listing of AI PC and the new year of Zhiqi.

According to the newly released "White Paper", the assembly proportion of AI PC (AI notebook computers, AI hybrid computers) in China's PC market will rise rapidly in the next few years, reaching 85% in 2027, becoming the mainstream of the PC market. Driven by AI PC, the application scenario of PC will be further expanded, pulling the market scale into a new round of growth. The first year of AI PC in China is expected to start in 2024.
