CTOnews.com, December 8 (Xinhua) Horizon, a provider of intelligent driving computing solutions, announced the formal establishment of a joint venture company CARIZON with CARIAD, a software company owned by Volkswagen Group.

CTOnews.com noted that the new joint venture will integrate Horizon's soft and hard technology capabilities and CARIAD's expertise in smart body and software system integration to develop industry-leading, highly optimized, advanced driving assistance systems and self-driving solutions.

Ku Rui Cheng will carry out research and development based on the Horizon Journey family computing program, which will be carried out in Volkswagen Group's pure electric models in the Chinese market.

Kuicheng, headquartered in Beijing, plans to recruit more than 300 employees by the end of 2023.

It is understood that "Ku Rui Cheng" is named from the English name of the two companies CARIAD + Horizon-- CARIZON, with a registered capital of 6.757 billion yuan, and the legal representative is Alexis Trolin. Its business scope includes software development, software sales, artificial intelligence basic software development, artificial intelligence application software development, artificial intelligence theory and algorithm software development, and so on.
