On December 6, 2023, Acer launched the new Acer Future lightweight Environmental computer 16 (AV16-51p) at a global press conference with the theme "Technology Awakening for the Future", and announced the implementation of a carbon neutralization plan for its Acer future environmental protection series of notebooks. Acer will follow international standards to calculate its carbon footprint and take different measures at all stages of the product life cycle to minimize the carbon footprint. Since the launch of Acer's future environmental protection series, Acer has always adhered to the concept of environmental protection in product design, aiming to reduce the carbon footprint as much as possible in the overall life cycle; and from manufacturing, packaging to recycling, each stage through the assistance and confirmation of relevant units and the efforts of relevant units to reduce carbon emissions. The new Acer Future lightweight computer 16 (AV16-51p) has achieved remarkable results in the following projects:

Color, material and surface coating: compared with the first generation of products using 30% recycled plastic, the new notebook shell is made of more than 60% recycled plastic, and the surface does not contain volatile organic compounds, paints or additives. The trackpad surface is made of marine waste recycled plastic.

Zero components: equipped with the latest Intel ®Core ™Ultra processor, more energy efficient than previous generations; the new IntelAI Boost integrated NPU provides AI with extreme energy efficiency.

Packaging: recycling the waste generated during the production process and using 100% recyclable packaging to reduce the carbon footprint, in addition, through careful design, so that FSC certified 100% recycled cartons can be used in a variety of convenient ways.

Transport logistics: Acer has worked with logistics suppliers to adopt biofuel solutions on a number of routes to reduce emissions from standard seaborne containers.

Usage mode: AcerSense ™battery management software focuses on energy efficiency and offers four efficiency modes: "Energy Saving +", "Energy Saving", "balance" and "efficiency".

Recovery and maintenance: the fuselage uses standard screws, which can be easily disassembled, repaired, upgraded or recycled.

After implementing the above measures to reduce carbon emissions, Acer will use high-quality carbon rights to achieve carbon neutralization.
