CTOnews.com news on December 6, AMD will hold an AMD Advance AI event at 2: 00 am tomorrow. According to the leaked information obtained by VideoCardz, AMD's next-generation mobile APU "Strix Point" will adopt XDNA2 NPU to achieve 3x generative AI performance.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, AMD introduced the AI engine on the Ruilong 7040 series of processors with a computing power of up to 10 TOPS.

According to the latest news, the introduction of XDNA NPU,AI by AMD can achieve 16 TOPS performance on the upcoming Ruilong 8040 series vest processors. On the new generation of AMD Strix Point mobile processors (expected to be the Ruilong 8050 series), the NPU architecture will be upgraded to XDNA 2, resulting in 3x generative AI performance.

It was previously revealed that the newly upgraded APU, codenamed Strix Point, had been postponed to mid-2024, while AMD confirmed in PPT that it would ship within 2024. It is expected that the new Strix Point Mobile APU will use Zen5 CPU core, the number of cores will be upgraded to 12 cores, and the core display will also be upgraded, using RDNA 3.5 architecture, with 16CU.
