CTOnews.com December 6 news, Canalys today released the third quarter of 2023 Southeast Asian market report, in which the Southeast Asian smartphone market fell 4% to 23 million units in that quarter, the decline has narrowed to single digits.

CTOnews.com learned from data released by Canalys that Chinese manufacturers such as OPPO and Xiaomi accounted for more than 60 per cent of the mobile phone market in Southeast Asia in the third quarter, and the market is gradually rebounding as smartphone manufacturers improve their inventory levels and channel activities. Manufacturers are taking high-profile release activities to enhance brand image and attract market attention.

Although Samsung ranked first with a market share of 19%, OPPO came close behind with 18% market share, while Xiaomi ranked third with a market share of 15%, while Tsinghua ranked fourth with a market share of 15%, with a market share of 12%.

Canalys claims that smartphone makers have optimized their channel layout and adjusted their product portfolios to increase brand awareness among price-sensitive consumers, and the gap between Android makers has narrowed.
