The commercial operation and commissioning of nuclear power plants is of great significance and positive influence on promoting the development of nuclear power safety and enhancing the ability of scientific and technological innovation of nuclear power in our country.

According to the report, relying on this project, China has systematically mastered the technology of design, manufacture, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of high-temperature gas-cooled reactor. China Huaneng and Tsinghua University have jointly developed six key core technologies for commissioning and operation of high-temperature gas-cooled reactor. A group of professionals with experience in high-temperature gas-cooled reactor construction and operation and maintenance have been trained to form a set of replicable and popularized standardized management system. And establish an independent intellectual property system with patents, technical standards and software copyright as the core.
