Shulou(Shulou.com)12/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, December 6 (Xinhua)-- Apple is expected to release an official update of iOS 17.2 to all users next week, in which Apple said it has resolved a problem in the iOS 17.1.1 version that prevented some GM owners' iPhone 15 from being charged wirelessly in their cars.
It is reported that after the issue was first reported last month, GM confirmed to the media "The Verge" that it had noticed the problem and was conducting an investigation, but did not provide more information at the time. In the iOS 17. 2 release note, Apple made it clear: "fixed a problem that may prevent some vehicles from charging wirelessly." Although Apple did not specifically mention whether the fix was specifically aimed at GM owners, it is highly likely to be so.
CTOnews.com noted that this is the second time Apple has fixed a problem in iOS 17 that affects wireless charging in cars. Apple has already provided fixes for wireless charging and NFC problems with BMW owners in the iOS version 17.1.1 released in early November.
Apple launched the candidate version of iOS 17.2 RC today, and the official version is expected to be released next week.
