The latest version of OneUI comes with an improved Quick Settings panel that makes it easier for users to access the most frequently used features. Enhanced home screens and widgets, new emoji designs and many other improvements are also available to further enhance the user experience.

New button layout: The shortcut panel has a new layout that makes it easier to access the most frequently used features. WLAN and Bluetooth currently have dedicated buttons at the top of the screen, while visual features such as dark mode and eye comfort protection are moved to the bottom of the screen. Other shortcut buttons are in the customization area in the middle of the screen.

Instant access to the entire shortcut panel: By default, when swiping down from the top of the screen, a collapsed shortcut panel appears with notifications. Swipe down again to hide notifications and expand the full shortcut panel. If Instant Access is enabled, swipe down once from the top right of the screen to access the full shortcut panel. Swipe down from elsewhere at the top of the screen to access both the collapsed shortcut panel and notifications.

Quick access to brightness controls: The brightness control bar can now be set to appear by default in the collapsed shortcut panel, making it faster and easier to adjust brightness when you swipe down once from the top of the screen.

Improved album cover display: When playing music or video, if the app playing the music or video provides an album cover, the album cover will cover the entire media controller in the notification panel.

Improved notification layout: Each notification is now displayed separately, making it easier to identify individual notifications.

Notification icons are more vivid: You can use the same icons as the home screen app. You can turn it on in Settings.

Sort notifications by time: You can now change the notification settings to sort notifications by time instead of priority so that the latest notifications always appear at the top.

Adjust Clock Position: You can now move the lock screen clock more freely to a position of your choice.

Simplified icon labels: App icon labels are now a single line, making their appearance simpler and clearer. "Galaxy" and "Samsung" have been removed from some app names to make them shorter and easier to navigate.

Keep pop-up view open: Pop-up view now doesn't minimize the window when you go to the Recent screen, but stays open after you leave the Recent screen so you can continue what you're doing.

Samsung DeX

The new Samsung DeX lets you switch between DeX mode and tablet mode while the home screen layout remains the same. All of your favorite apps, widgets, and icons are available in DeX. DeX can also be used horizontally and vertically if the tablet's auto-rotation feature is turned on.

Samsung keyboard

New emoji design: The emoji displayed in your messages, social media posts and elsewhere on your phone have been updated with a new design.

Photo Preview: When you share a picture from the My Files app, a preview of the picture appears at the top of the Share pane so you can view the related picture before sharing.

Enhanced Illustrations: Illustrations in weather widgets and apps have been enhanced to better provide information about current weather conditions. The background color of the illustrations also varies depending on the time of day.

Simple and intuitive design: The overall layout of the camera app has been simplified. The shortcut buttons on the preview screen have been redesigned to make them easier to understand.

Custom camera widgets: You can add custom camera widgets to the home screen. You can set each widget to launch in a specific shooting mode and save photos and videos in albums of your choice.

More watermark alignment options: You can now choose whether the watermark appears at the top or bottom of the photo.

Scan documents easily: The ability to scan documents has been separated from the Scene Optimizer, so documents can be scanned even if the Scene Optimizer is turned off. The new auto-scan feature lets you automatically scan documents as you take document photos. When you finish scanning the document, you are taken to the editing interface where you can rotate the document.

More convenient video size options: Now, when you click the video size button, a pop-up window appears, making it easier for you to view all options and select the right one.

Keep photos flat: Use the rear camera in all modes except Panorama when gridlines are turned on in camera settings

Close Swipe up/down to toggle camera functionality: Swipe up or down to toggle front and rear camera functionality, now settable to OFF. If you are worried about accidental sliding, you can turn this feature off in Settings.

Easier to apply effects: Filters and facial effect intensities Now use dials instead of sliders for easy, precise adjustments with one hand.

Quick Edit in Details View: When viewing photos, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access Details View. This screen gives you quick access to effects and re-recording functions.

Drag and drop with both hands: Long press photos and videos with one hand, then navigate to the album you want to place them in with the other.

Save a clipped picture as a sticker: When you clip something from a picture, you can easily save it as a sticker for later use when editing photos or videos.

Improved Story View: When browsing stories, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up thumbnail view. In thumbnail view, you can add or remove photos and videos to your story.

Improved layout: With the new Tools menu, it's easier to find the editing features you need. Straighten and Perspective options are combined in the Adjust menu.

Adjust decorations after saving: You can now change the drawings, stickers, and text you add to photos even after saving is complete.

Undo and redo: don't worry about mistakes. You can now easily undo or restore, change filters and tones.

Drawing on custom stickers: When creating custom stickers, you can now use drawing tools to make the stickers more personalized and unique.

Video Editing Studio (Video Editor)

More powerful video editing: Video Editing Studio is a new project-based video editor for more complex and powerful editing. You can access the video editing studio from the album's drawer menu, or you can add icons to the home screen for quick access.

Timeline Layout: Video Editing Studio lets you think of your entire project as a timeline containing multiple video clips. Multi-level editing structures let you add dividers, stickers, text, and other objects and easily adjust their position and length.

Save and edit projects: You can also save unfinished video production projects so you can continue editing them later.

Improved layout: Video player controls are now easier than ever. Buttons with similar functions have been grouped together and the Play button has been moved to the center of the screen.

Enhanced playback speed control: You can choose from multiple video playback speeds between 0.25 and 2.0 times. Speed control is now easier to use with dedicated buttons rather than sliders.

Samsung Health

Home screen new look: samsung health home screen has a new look. While more information is displayed, bold fonts and colors make it easier to see the information you need most. Your latest exercise results are displayed at the top of the screen.

Calendar at a glance: New calendar view showing upcoming events, tasks and reminders in chronological order.

View Reminders in Calendar: You can now view and add reminders in the Calendar app without opening the Reminder app.

Move events with both hands: In Day or Week view, long-press the event you want to move with one hand, and then navigate to the date you want to move the event to with the other hand.
