CTOnews.com, December 4 (Xinhua)-- Toyota today released its new Mirai hydrogen fuel cell car, which will be optimized by new owners as a minor change of the year. The new car, which will go on sale in Japan on December 18, is available only to government and fleet buyers at a price range of 7.26 million to 8.61 million yen, or about 354000 to 420000 yuan. At present, the price of Toyota Mirai as the official guidance of imported cars in the domestic market is 748000 yuan.

The Mirai is Toyota's first hydrogen-producing fuel cell car, which was unveiled in 2014, and the second generation went on sale globally at the end of 2020, using the same platform as the Lexus LS.

CTOnews.com notes that the new Mirai has little change in appearance, and that the trapezoidal grille on the front face is very similar to the spindle grille of the Lexus LS. The new Mirai has the same body size as the current model, with a length of 4973 mm, a width of 1885 mm, a height of 1471 mm and a wheelbase of 2918 mm. The rear design features include a through taillight and a duckling tail spoiler, which enhance the vehicle's sense of motion.

In configuration, the new Mirai adds more driving assistance functions, equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense system, with active driving assistance function, can detect objects on the road and provide "mild" braking and steering support, as well as traffic congestion assistance system and remote parking function. In addition, the new car also improves the display effect of the 12.3-inch LCD instrument in the strong light environment, and is equipped with 64-color ambient lights. The vehicle also provides the original driving recorder, digital key (optional) and remote start configuration.

In terms of power, the new Mirai, referring to overseas cash models, is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 134kW, a peak torque of 300Nm and an acceleration time of 9.2s from 0 to 100km / h. The hydrogen tank is arranged in a T-shaped shape at the bottom of the car, including a longitudinal hydrogen tank and two transverse hydrogen tanks, which can store a total of 5.6kg of hydrogen and have a range of 850km under WTLC conditions.
