However, there are still many problems that need to be carefully planned for the development of smart cars.

Miao Wei shared several sets of data. In 2017, only 777000 new energy vehicles were sold in China, and the annual sales of new energy vehicles reached 6.887 million in 2022. The penetration rate of new energy vehicles reached 28.2% in 2022, exceeding the target of 20% set by the 14th five-year Plan three years ahead of schedule. This year, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in China's passenger car market is expected to reach more than 1/3. Miao Wei believes that the trend of new energy vehicles replacing traditional fuel vehicles has been formed, and the original target of more than 50% of new energy vehicles in 2035 is likely to be achieved in 2025 to 2026 at the latest.

CTOnews.com noted that the October auto production and sales data released by the China Automobile Association showed that in October, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 989,000 and 956000 respectively, an increase of 29.2% and 33.5% respectively over the same period last year, with a market share of 33.5%.
