CTOnews.com, December 4 (Xinhua)-- according to a report by domestic car media AutoPix Auto Pixel today, Xiaomi's first car entered the fifth stage of production line verification (PT5) at the Yizhuang factory last week, and the factory needs to complete its target of loading 300 vehicles this month, several times higher than in November.

Reported that this does not mean that the new car will be mass produced this month, but to supply terminal display needs, production node will not be earlier than the first quarter of next year. At the same time, because it is the first car, Xiaomi "requires more robustness than speed".

In addition, in order to make room for cars, some products on Xiaomi's ecological chain will withdraw from Xiaomi Home.

Engineers close to Xiaomi revealed that the new car is still in the production line debugging and verification stage, so output is not the core goal of this stage, the important thing is to shut down the problems encountered. The report disclosed the details of some problems in mass production: some of the problems were on the machine side, but some of them were solved by remote OTA and some R & D staff stationed in the headquarters; more problems were found in the manufacturing process, such as outage of the final assembly line, untimely delivery of parts and so on.

The report also said that Xiaomi has planned three models of cars, which will be released one after another in the next three years. The first two models are pure electricity, codenamed "Modena" and "Le Mans", and the third hybrid product is codenamed "Kunlun". Among them, Kunlun has entered the design stage.
