After further investigation, the police confirmed Chen's criminal act of infringing upon the personal information of citizens, and then arrested him at Chen's address, and seized one desktop computer, one laptop, 82 mobile phones, and more than 30 phone cards at the scene. In his residence, the mobile phone is neatly coded on the bedside shelf so that you can "maintain the number" when you lie down.

After on-the-spot interrogation, Chen confessed that when he saw someone buying WeChat account when he was surfing the Internet, he sold several idle WeChat accounts on his hands.

After earning the first bucket of "gold", Chen had a crooked mind, studied it carefully, and felt that he could also do it. So he also began to buy unreal-name WeChat accounts everywhere, using the purchased mobile phone "maintenance number" for a period of time, and then sell it at a high price. From then on, he became a "middleman" who "lay down and earn money".

Chen confessed that the process of "keeping the number" was not smooth, and it was often encountered that the name was blocked, and only the WeChat account that had not been sealed could be regarded as a "good" account.

Because WeChat accounts registered with real names sell at a higher price, Chen will also buy other people's identity information when he needs to sell WeChat accounts, use the purchased identity information for real-name authentication, and then resell it for a profit.

Since the beginning of this year, Chen has sold more than 1000 Wechat accounts, making an illegal profit of more than 20,000 yuan. At present, Chen has been taken criminal compulsory measures in accordance with the law, and the case is still under further processing.
