CTOnews.com notes that the new generation of Mercedes E-Class has a new design, with unique and modern family design elements on the front face, making it more recognizable, and the headlight design reminiscent of the classic "peanut lamp." The new car is available in two logo versions, a large logo version and a standard logo version, showing different styles of sports and luxury respectively. Among them, the large-scale version of the mid-net design uses a lattice grille, similar to the design style of the electric EQ series.

The new generation of Mercedes-Benz E-Class has smooth side lines and a progressive waist line that fades out at the B-pillar, creating a segmented visual effect. The extended design of the rear half continues the design of the previous generation, adding C-pillar triangular windows. The rear design echoes the front, the bottom of the light group adopts a wave shape, and the interior light group adopts a Mercedes-Benz star design. The new car is also equipped with hidden door handles, LED star spotlights and "meteor flash" light blankets. The drag coefficient of the new car is only 0.23Cd, the length, width and height of the long-axis version are 5092/1880/1493mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 3094mm, which is 133mm longer than that of the standard axle version.

In terms of interior, the new car adopts the latest family design style, consistent with EQ series models, equipped with triple screen and the latest MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction system. The new car is also equipped with 8295 smart cockpit chip, and localized optimization for the Chinese market, supporting iQiyi, Tencent video, volcanic car entertainment, QQ music and Himalayas. Some physical buttons are retained in the car, mainly concentrated under the main screen, and the air conditioning outlet adopts hidden design, which perfectly integrates with the overall screen.

The 360° surround ambient light of the new E-Class is equipped with a "follow the sound" function, which works in conjunction with the audio system to automatically adjust the interior lighting according to the rhythm of the music, along with a 21-speaker Burmester sound system and seat oscillator for a more stereoscopic sound experience. Voice function supports full scene wake-up-free, multi-instruction recognition and oral interaction. The system response speed is extremely fast. More vehicle control functions that can be operated by voice assistant are added.

In terms of rear row configuration, the domestic brand-new E-class brings 11 China-specific rear row luxury comfort enhancements, such as rear seat cushion lengthening, electric adjustable rear seat leg rest and rear surround atmosphere lights.

In terms of driving assistance, the new car implements L2 + navigation assistance driving functions, which can automatically change lanes, overtake, avoid large vehicles and automatically enter or leave ramps on high speed and urban expressways, all of which have been locally customized to accommodate smaller lane change spaces and lower lane change speeds (50 km/h).

In terms of powertrain, the new car is equipped with an M254 2.0T engine, with a maximum power of 204 hp for the E 260L model and 258 hp for the E 300L model.
