CTOnews.com, December 1, Waterfox is an offshoot of Firefox (Firefox), a privacy-conscious web browser developed by System1.

After launching desktop versions for Windows, macOS and Linux, Waterfox recently launched the Android version, with the default search engine Bing, which has been launched on the Play Store app mall.

The difference between Water Fox and Firefox is that it comes with built-in tracking protection by default and provides Oblivious DNS, which makes it more difficult for your ISP to track your website connections, thus keeping your online activities private.

Another difference from Firefox is that Water Fox also removes data collection and telemetry functions by default, so you can surf the Internet without worrying about your privacy.

Waterfox for Android is a privacy-conscious mobile browser that gives you control over everything. Waterfox creates completely open source, eliminating analytics, telemetry, and unnecessary closed-source integration, but instead provides you with a clean private browsing experience.

Unlike other Android web browsers, Waterfox does not have any analysis or telemetry that tracks your usage. It also does not use closed-source SDK or enable sponsored shortcuts by default. Integrations such as closed source Pocket read-it-later services have been removed.
