CTOnews.com, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) 10-year-old Teddy from Peppard, Oxfordshire, recently issued a petition asking Apple to change the "Nerd Face" Emoji.

Nerd face is an Emoji introduced by Unicode 8, with huge glasses, an awkward smile and two big front teeth in the Apple system.

Teddy believes that Apple's "nerd face" has an "offensive and insulting" contextual meaning, giving people a stereotyped wrong impression of people who wear glasses, and he redesigned the Emoji to replace a grin with a smile.

"I want to change that. Apple is making people who wear glasses very scary, and I'm sure tens of thousands of people around the world feel the same way," Teddy said in an interview with BBC.
