According to CTOnews.com news on November 29, bilibili announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on the evening of November 29 that the total net turnover in the third quarter of 2023 was 5.8 billion yuan ($795.7 million), the same as the same period in 2022; the net loss was 1.3 billion yuan ($183.3 million), 22% lower than in the same period in 2022; and the adjusted net loss was 863.5 million yuan, 51% lower than the same period in 2022. The average number of daily active users (daily active users) reached 102.8 million, an increase of 14% over the same period in 2022.

The improvement of community growth and commercialization efficiency has led to the improvement of bilibili's advertising and value-added service income. In the third quarter, bilibili's advertising revenue reached 1.64 billion yuan, an increase of 21 percent over the same period last year, and revenue from value-added services reached 2.6 billion yuan, an increase of 17 percent over the same period last year.

In terms of user data, in the third quarter, the average number of daily active users of bilibili exceeded 100 million, an increase of 14% over the same period last year to 103 million. The average monthly active users also reached a new high of 100, and the average daily use time exceeded 341 million minutes for the first time.

In terms of creator data, in the third quarter, the average number of daily active UP masters of bilibili increased by 21% compared with the same period last year, the number of UP masters with more than 10,000 fans increased by 36% year-on-year, and the average monthly video contributions increased by 37% year-on-year to 21 million. In addition, 1.68 million UP owners earned revenue from bilibili in the quarter, up 34 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, the number of UP owners who earn revenue through video and live streaming increased by more than 160% compared with the same period last year.

Bilibili said that for the whole of 2023, the company now expects total net turnover to be at the low end of the range of 22.5 billion to 23.5 billion yuan due to lower-than-expected revenue from mobile games.

Net revenue

Total net revenue was 5.8 billion yuan ($795.7 million), unchanged from a year earlier.

Revenue from value-added services was 2.6 billion yuan ($355.7 million), up 17% from a year earlier.

Revenue from advertising was 1.6 billion yuan ($224.5 million), up 21% from a year earlier.

Revenue from mobile games was 991.8 million yuan ($135.9 million), down 33% from a year earlier.

Revenue from IP derivatives and other businesses (formerly known as "e-commerce and other businesses") was 580 million yuan ($79.5 million), down 23% from a year earlier.
