CTOnews.com, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) although it is facing a restructuring, OpenAI is not expected to offer board seats to other investors such as Microsoft, including Khosla Ventures and Thrive Capital, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters.

It is worth mentioning that Microsoft is currently one of the biggest supporters of OpenAI and has already committed billions of dollars to the company.

During last week's turmoil in Tuyuan Pexels, OpenAI abruptly fired its chief executive and founder Sam Altman without giving a specific reason, then announced a return to Altman three days later and promised to form a new board of directors, as previously reported by CTOnews.com.

The Information reported that OpenAI will have a nine-member board, and the three initial members of the new board-chairman Bret Taylor, former finance minister Larry Summers and Quora CEO Adam Dame Angelo-are expected to be confirmed this week.

For now, D'Angelo will be the only member of the board that has survived the dismissal of Altman's six-member board.

On the question about OpenAI's board of directors, a Microsoft spokesman said, "We will wait for the board of directors to formally announce." OpenAI, Thrive and Khosla did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
