CTOnews.com, November 28, Microsoft plans to continue to bring the update mechanism of Win11 system to Win10 system after it introduced Copilot. Microsoft plans to introduce the "enable optional updates" group policy in the Win10 system, and it is up to users to decide whether to install optional updates automatically.

The Win11 system has integrated this set of policies, and now Microsoft has devolved it to the Win10 system, and after the user enables it, the system will automatically install the optional monthly updates for you.

Microsoft confirmed earlier this month that users can see this new group policy after installing optional updates in November or cumulative updates released on Tuesday, the event day of the December patch. IT administrators can enable and disable this group policy through Group Policy Object or Configuration Service Provider.

Optional updates usually contain important fixes and improvements and are tested and incorporated into the cumulative update released on next month's patch Tuesday event day.
