CTOnews.com, Nov. 28 (Xinhua)-- Game developer Bungie announced in August that the next paid expansion of Destiny 2, "The Final Shape," will be launched on February 27, 2024, and today it has been officially postponed to June 4 next year.

We know very well that players are eager to play "The Final Shape", and delaying the release is obviously not a good thing.

For us, we have more time to polish "The Final Shape" and further expand and fulfill our vision and commitment to players. We will unlock more of the game in April next year, including new ways to play the game and so on.

Bungie plans to release a free content update "Season of the Wish" from tomorrow (November 28).

It added that while most of the new stories and content for this free season will last until February 2024, it will continue to add new content until the The Final Shape expansion pack is launched.
