CTOnews.com, November 28 (Xinhua) Byte Jump's game business will shrink on a large scale overnight, and games that are already online and performing well will seek divestiture under the condition of guaranteed operation, while projects that have not yet been launched will be shut down except for a small number of innovative projects and related technology projects.

It was also reported earlier this month that byte beat had been meeting with potential buyers to discuss the sale of its gaming unit, pupil technology.

Snow Leopard Finance said that byte jump hopes to sell pupil technology for no less than $5 billion (CTOnews.com Note: about 35.75 billion yuan) and has hired Goldman Sachs as a financial adviser to help find and contact potential buyers.

For the recent adjustment of the byte group to the game business and the news that the pupil was sold, Yuan Jing, CEO of the pupil, responded openly internally, saying that the pupil continued to operate independently.

Two years ago, byte beat bought the Shanghai-based mu pupil technology studio for $4 billion (currently about 28.6 billion yuan). Pupil technology has developed popular mobile games "Magic Rush:heroes", "Battle of the Dragon", "endless showdown" and so on.

According to the enterprise registration information, Shanghai Mu pupil Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2014, the legal representative is Yuan Jing, with a registered capital of about 1.22 million yuan, and is 100% owned by Beijing Lightyear Information Technology Co., Ltd. and Lightyear is the byte beat of its game business brand.
