CTOnews.com, November 27 (Xinhua) British car designer Ian Callum previously served as global design director of Jaguar and played a key role in shaping iconic models such as the Jaguar I-Pace and the Aston Martin Vanquish, retiring in 2019.

However, after retiring, Callum has not been idle, recently announced his design and engineering development of the first electric vehicle-Callum Skye.

According to reports, Callum Skye is an all-electric 2-seat four-wheel drive off-road vehicle, known as "the world's most beautiful high-performance, multi-terrain vehicle", unique shape and a wide range of uses, of which Skye is named after a Scottish island.

The Callum Skye is 4m long, 1.9m wide and weighs just 1150 kilograms. It is powered by a 42 kWh battery, has an acceleration time of 4 seconds at 0-60 mph and has a nominal range of about 170km (CTOnews.com Note: about 273.59 km).

The Callum Skye model is currently being tested in Europe and the first prototype is expected to be launched next spring. The company's target price is about $126000 (currently about 901000 yuan).
