CTOnews.com, November 27-Ubisoft Bordeaux Studios has hired Rik Godwin as lead screenwriter to continue to develop the Assassin's Creed series.

This suggests that in addition to public works such as Assassin's Creed: code name Red, Ubisoft is currently working on at least another Assassin's Creed.

Since the launch of Ubisoft's Assassin Creed in 2007, the series has grown to become not only Ubisoft's flagship IP, but also one of the most popular and successful game series.

In September last year, Ubisoft announced that in the 15 years since the launch of the Assassin Creed series, total global sales of the series had exceeded 200 million units (CTOnews.com Note: the first version was released in 2007).
