CTOnews.com, November 26 (Xinhua)-- according to foreign media Variety, Lion Gate is preparing a live-action film project called Naruto, which will be written by Tasha Huo.

She said it was her dream as a fan to adapt her beloved work into a movie. CTOnews.com found that she had previously worked as a screenwriter for works such as the Hunter and the Queen's Sword, and was the show director of the Netflix's Tomb Raider: the Legend of Laura.

Naruto, a teenage cartoon created by Japanese cartoonist Hiroshi Kishimoto, tells the story of the ninja world around rival Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke and other characters, ending with 700 words on November 10, 2014, 15 years after it was serialized in Weekly Junior Jump.

The cartoon was later adapted into a TV animated version of Naruto through Japanese animation studio Studio Pierrot in 2002, while the more familiar Legend of Naruto is the second animation (episode 221, Volume 28, words 245), which ends with 500words on March 23, 2017.

After that, the animated film "Naruto Theatre version: biographies of people", an animated film about the story after the final words, was released in August 2015, while the animation "biographies of people-the second Generation of Fire Shadows" was broadcast on Tokyo Television from April 5, 2017.

In fact, Lions Gate said in 2015 that it wanted to turn Naruto into a live-action movie and planned to hire new director Michael Gracie and former Marvel CEO Avi Allard's Allard Productions, but there has been no follow-up since then.

Considering that another live-action adaptation of the warm-blooded comic "King of the Thief" has been a great success on Netflix and has been renewed for the second season, it is believed that the upcoming film adaptation of "Naruto" is likely to achieve the same success.
