Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Colorful M for the clue delivery! Just recently, the American Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers,IEEE) announced the new Fellow list.

IEEE Fellow is the highest-ranking member of the society and the highest honor awarded by IEEE. It aims to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions in the fields of electrical, electronic engineering, computer science, information technology and other related technologies.

Less than 0.1 per cent of IEEE members are promoted to Fellow each year.

To become an IEEE Fellow, the applicant must be nominated by the existing Fellow and go through a rigorous review process. These include the contribution of technical and professional achievements, leadership in related fields, and the impact on society.
