According to reports, after the two sides have reached a cooperation, users can search the "service area charging station" on the home page of Baidu map to query the nearest service area charging station. At the same time, App also supports the planning of long-distance charging routes, which can be updated in real time according to traffic conditions, and recommends the optimal navigation route and charging stations along the way.

When the user initiates the "new energy navigation" to plan the route, the navigation will display the information about the number of idle piles in the nearest "service area charging station" in real time.

According to previous reports by CTOnews.com, data from the Ministry of Transportation show that a total of 6257 service areas for rechargeable parking spaces have been built nationwide by the end of October, accounting for 94 per cent of the total number of highway service areas.

In addition, a total of 20,000 charging piles have been built in expressway service areas across the country, covering 49000 parking spaces for minibuses. The coverage of charging facilities in expressway service areas in 11 provinces, including Beijing, Liaoning, Jilin, Shanghai and Zhejiang, has reached 100%.

Baidu Maps revealed in October that lane-level Navigation 3.0 has covered the four core city circles of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Chengdu and Chongqing. Baidu Map lane-level navigation 3.0 is expected to cover more than 100 cities by the end of 2023.
