Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, November 23, Lenovo recently filed a lawsuit against Asustek in the Northern District Court of California. Lenovo claimed that Asustek's laptop infringed four of its patents, demanded compensation from Asustek, and stopped selling ZenBook notebook computers and other suspected infringing products in the United States.

CTOnews.com learned from the lawsuit report that Lenovo cited Asustek Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (UX6404) as an example, claiming that the notebooks sold by Asustek violated Lenovo's "Wireless Wake-up LAN Power Management Patent" obtained by Lenovo in 2010.

The next patent infringed by ▲ Asustek Zenbook Pro 14 OLED is "TouchPad double finger Diagonal gesture interaction (initiate a diagonal scroll at any location ona touchpad by using two fingers)", also a 2010 patent, which allows users to "use two fingers to initiate diagonal gesture interaction (zoom in and out by gestures) anywhere on the touchpad," the lawsuit said.

Lenovo also claims that Asustek infringes the patent on "methods and devices for resource block transmission (Methods and apparatus for transmitting in resource blocks)", which is intended for release in 2021 and claims to "minimize delays encountered during uplink packet transmission by reducing the number of steps for wireless devices to upload data".

In addition, Lenovo believes that the "ErgoLift" hinge of Asustek's Zenbook Flip 14 UX461 infringes Lenovo's 2014 patent "two-axis hinge with angular timing axis mechanism", which allows two-in-one laptops to quickly switch from standard "laptop mode" to "tablet mode" through built-in hinges.
