CTOnews.com November 22, Apple collector Giulio Zompetti recently shared the original Apple Watch prototype again, more than a year after Apple's official release, it is one of the earliest prototypes to be exposed so far.

Zompetti shared a set of photos in 2021 for the original Apple Watch prototype designed in early 2014; this exposure dates back to December 2013.

The Apple Watch prototype exposed this time runs a customized version of SwitchBoard, which is modified on the iOS 8 system for iPod Touch.

CTOnews.com Note: SwitchBoard is the internal initiator used by Apple to test hardware functionality, mainly for engineers and people engaged in the assembly process to check that components such as cameras, monitors, and speakers are working as expected.

Unlike the 2014 prototype, the 2013 original Apple Watch prototype uses a different layout, with three heart rate sensors aligned horizontally.

Zompetti says the Apple Watch charger is different from the final version. Although it is similar to the current Apple Watch charger, he tells us that this charger is not compatible with any other Apple Watch model. The shape of the digital crown is also slightly different from that used in the final version.
