CTOnews.com, Nov. 22, Nvidia today predicted that fourth-quarter revenue will exceed Wall Street's target of $20 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 143.4 billion yuan) as supply chain problems ease.

▲ Touyuan Reuters Nvidia said that as the company outsourced chip manufacturing to manufacturers such as TSMC, Nvidia's supply of AI chips was expected to improve significantly every quarter since then, as Nvidia made advance payments and placed "irrevocable orders" with a number of third-party chipmakers to ensure that these manufacturers gave priority to their chips, thereby ensuring Nvidia's AI chip supply and profits.

Although Nvidia also said that the company's "competitive position and revenue may be impaired" due to the risk of US export controls, Nvidia's share price and performance are still positive. Nvidia's share price is up more than 240% this year.

"We expect our sales in parts of Asia and Africa to decline significantly in the fourth quarter of 2024, although we believe strong growth in other regions will offset this decline," said Colette Kress, Nvidia's chief financial officer.

Reuters claimed that in response to the previous US export control incident, Nvidia has designed three new products for the mainland market in an attempt to avoid regulation and continue to profit, but Insider Intelligence analyst Jacob Bourne believes that these chips focusing on the mainland market may consume Nvidia's important resources and are likely to be banned by US regulators in the future.
