CTOnews.com, November 22 (Xinhua)-- according to a recent list released by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple has obtained a design patent for MacBook, which can create a perspective adjustment layer to flexibly switch "privacy mode" according to different usage scenarios.

Apple says laptops currently have a wide perspective by default to provide a unified viewing experience in multi-person scenarios, while in some public situations, users want to narrow the screen perspective to ensure that their screen information is not seen by others. The draft patent design attached to CTOnews.com is as follows:

Apple has designed an adjustment layer similar to blinds, which can limit the viewing angle of the screen and narrow the viewing angle in the first state, while switching to the second state can switch to the normal state without restriction.

Blinds may contain electrophoretic particles. The blinds may be tapered and may have a narrow end less than 10 microns wide to increase transmittance in normal viewing mode. In the normal viewing mode, the electrophoretic particles may form isolated clusters on the lower substrate to further improve the transmittance of the display in the normal viewing mode.
