This technology introduces a new type of UAV logo into 5G-A network for the first time, and connects chip module, network and flight control platform from end to end, which comprehensively verifies the core capabilities of UAV identification, authentication and management, and lays the foundation for the efficient management and control of UAV in 5G-A network. In the future, it can help to build a comprehensive coverage, manageable, intelligent and open low-altitude intelligent networking service system.

CTOnews.com Note: 5G-A, whose full name is 5G-Advanced, is the transition stage between 5G and 6G. It will surpass the existing 5G in terms of speed, delay, connection scale and energy consumption, and is expected to achieve downlink 10 gigabit and uplink gigabit peak rate, millisecond delay and low-cost hundreds of billions of things.

China Mobile said that the low-altitude economy will become a new economic growth point, and UAV, as a new basic service carrier of low-altitude economy, its traction and driving role is increasing day by day. On June 28 this year, China promulgated the interim regulations on the Flight Management of Unmanned aerial vehicles, and the Internet-connected UAV ushered in unprecedented opportunities for development. however, the industry as a whole still faces many challenges, such as trusted access, network control, low-altitude perception, platform management services and so on. There is an urgent need to systematically build a low-altitude intelligent networking capability system to establish the hub position of operators in the low-altitude economic industrial chain.

In order to create a full scene of low-altitude intelligent networking, China Mobile Research Institute has carried out a comprehensive layout in the aspects of capacity system construction, standardization and industry promotion, and put forward the overall framework of 5G-A network capability of "1-5-5".

According to China Mobile, this technical verification has created three industry firsts:

The introduction and capability adaptation of the new UAV logo are completed on the terminal side for the first time.

For the first time, the UAV trusted identification, mapping, authentication authorization and life cycle management are completed by upgrading the UAS network function on the network side.

The docking with the open platform of core network capability and the binding of identification and operation information are completed on the side of the flight control platform for the first time, and the basic change of manageable and controllable access of 5G-A UAV is realized end-to-end.
