CTOnews.com November 20 news, the National Energy Administration today released national power industry statistics from January to October.

By the end of October, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity was about 2.81 billion kilowatts, an increase of 12.6 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, the installed capacity of solar power is about 540 million kilowatts, an increase of 47.0 percent over the same period last year, and the installed capacity of wind power is about 400 million kilowatts, an increase of 15.6 percent over the same period last year.

From Pexels1 to October, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2996 hours, 88 hours less than that of the same period last year. Of this total, 2704 hours were hydropower, 298 hours less than the same period last year; 1120 hours of solar power, 52 hours less than the same period last year; 1816 hours of wind power, 1 hour less than the same period last year; 6357 hours of nuclear power, an increase of 3677 hours over the same period last year; thermal power 3677 hours, an increase of 57 hours over the same period last year.

From January to October, the country's major power generation enterprises completed an investment of 662.1 billion yuan in power supply projects, an increase of 43.7 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, solar power was 269.4 billion yuan, up 71.2 percent over the same period last year; wind power was 171.7 billion yuan, up 42.5 percent over the same period last year; and nuclear power was 67 billion yuan, up 41.5 percent over the same period last year. The investment in the power grid project was 373.1 billion yuan, an increase of 6.3% over the same period last year.
