For the automotive industry, Cainiao's one-stop logistics technology solution has covered four major business scenarios, such as inbound logistics, factory logistics, vehicle logistics, spare parts / after-sales logistics. As of June this year, brilliance BMW, Changan Automobile, BYD and other vehicle manufacturers and parts manufacturers have launched scientific and technological cooperation with Cainiao. The latest public cooperation between rookie and Dongfeng Honda revolves around the after-sale parts.

According to industry insiders, benefiting from the rapid development of the automobile industry, the scale of the domestic automobile aftermarket is growing steadily. However, there are still some pain points in the transfer business, such as inaccurate prediction and planning, across-the-board inventory benchmark setting, uncontrollable supplier stock time, global inventory and performance. In comparison, the algorithm + big data application is not only a highlight of the cooperation between Cainiao and Dongfeng Honda, but also a new solution to get rid of the business pain points in the automobile industry.

It is reported that the after-sales parts smart transfer project created by Cainiao and Dongfeng Honda includes spare parts label portraits, demand forecasting, dynamic inventory management, transfer visualization and other directions. Among them, in terms of demand forecasting, Dongfeng Honda realized intelligent forecasting and intelligent replenishment by applying Cainiao's latest supply chain intelligent planning capabilities and setting different algorithm models for different parts. In addition, while forecasting the demand of spare parts based on historical data, the project also introduces weather and temperature season, geographic information, emergency and other data. More feature input also further improves the prediction accuracy.

With the help of technology provided by rookies, Dongfeng Honda has achieved a high service rate under reasonable inventory. According to estimates, the prediction accuracy of high-frequency and medium-frequency parts, the automatic issuance rate of purchase orders and the service rate of one-time distribution have been greatly improved in the after-sale parts intelligent transfer project.
