Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Recently, it has snowed heavily in some places in the north, which tickles people's hearts. after all, snow is one of the easiest weather to film.
However, we can also make snow appear in photos through simple late-stage techniques, and today we bring you a practical technique of "artificial snowfall":
First, we need to use the Photoshop tool, a photo that matches the snow theme, and a snowflake material photo (black background)
Open the PS tool and import the photos and snowflake footage photos that need to be modified into PS
Drag the snowflake material photo down to make it a flexible and movable window, and then drag it directly onto the photo that needs to be modified to cover it where snow is needed.
Press Ctrl+T first to make the footage photo adjustable. You can press and hold shift to drag the corners of the footage photo to change its size, so that it can better cover the following photos without distortion. After adjusting to the appropriate position and size, press enter.
In this way, we get the effect of the material photo on the top and the original photo on the bottom.
In the operation bar in the lower right corner, change the original "normal" to "filter" in the layer, so that the snowflakes in the material appear on the original photo, and it looks like it's snowing.
Then we can manipulate the two options on the right, "opacity" and "fill":
Opacity controls the visibility of snowflakes, that is, the higher the opacity, the more obvious the snowflakes.
"fill" controls the number of snowflakes. The higher the filling, the more snowflakes in the original material.
You can flexibly adjust these two options according to the actual situation of the photo and your personal preferences.
At this point, the basic operation is almost complete, but it seems that there will still be some unreal effects. First of all, there are snowflakes in some places where there should not be snowflakes, such as the ground, where snowflakes should not fall. Then we can use the "eraser" tool on the left to erase the snowflakes from these places.
Another unreal effect is that snowflakes look completely static, have no dynamic feeling, and snowflakes are a little too clear, which is also very easy to deal with:
We can select the filter tool above the ps to find the blur-motion blur, and set the movement direction and blur degree of the snowflake on the lower slider, so that it looks like the effect of the wind and is more real.
If we only want to blur the snowflake and do not want the effect of movement, we can choose blur-Gaussian blur and properly adjust the slider below to get the blurred effect we want to make the snowflake feel promising.
Strictly speaking, "artificial snow" is no longer an operation within the scope of photography, it should be regarded as graphic design, but it will not hurt to learn a small skill for entertainment.
