At present, some of the employees of Light Boat Zhihang have gone to the ideal car for on-site development.

The smart driving of the ideal car is mainly divided into two versions, namely, the high-equipped AD Max and the basic AD Pro. Light boat Zhihang mainly cuts into the AD Pro version. The AD Pro mainly carries the Horizon 5 chip (J5) of the AI chip company, and the current capacity limit is the high-speed NOA (high-speed pilotage assistant driving) function. After entering, Minuzhou Zhihang will be responsible for the optimization and migration of the ideal AD Max 3.0 algorithm to the AD Pro platform. In the work, the ideal Zhihai team still has the lead in the perception, planning, control and other modules. Even ideal CEO Li Xiang himself is keeping an eye on this project and personally develops the KPI for the Minuke Zhihang team.

The ideal car's smart driving team will focus on the AD Max version of the technology breakthrough, which carries two Nvidia Orin chips and a lidar, the goal is to achieve global intelligent driving capabilities, including urban NOA.

The AD Max and AD Pro versions of the ideal car have different capabilities and experiences due to different computing platforms and hardware architectures. Starting in the second half of this year, ideal Motor has demonstrated its latest awareness technology on the AD Max version, including Transformer's BEV, Occupancy and other cutting-edge technologies. Recently, ideal car has launched an internal test version of the city's NOA function to a large number of seed users.

These features are not currently available in the AD Pro version. It is understood that the AD Pro version is based on the Horizon Expedition 5 chip, and its perception algorithm has not yet used the most cutting-edge technology. Moreover, the accumulation of Horizon in the field of planning control is not as good as that of professional self-driving companies. Therefore, the ideal car needs to squeeze the performance of Journey 5 more extremely under the limited chip computing power. This needs to be supported by an experienced intelligent driving software company.

CTOnews.com noted that ideal previously said on the earnings call that it would fully push the official version of AD Max 3.0 to Max owners in December this year, providing full-scene NOA functionality and uniformly adopting the BEV architecture. At the same time, AD Pro 3.0 software will be launched to users in the first half of next year, releasing some of the algorithm capabilities of AD Max to AD Pro.

Light boat Zhihang, a self-driving company that started as a self-driving minibus, later added auxiliary driving business and reached a strategic cooperation with the horizon to gradually polish the intelligent driving scheme on the J3 and J5 chips of the horizon. Light boat Zhihang said that based on the Horizon Expedition 5 chip, its intelligent driving scheme can achieve high-order parking functions and high-speed NOA functions in highway scenarios.
