According to the public data collected by CTOnews.com, the Chengdu-Yibin high-speed railway is a double-track high-speed railway, which consists of the newly built Chengdu-Yibin east high-speed railway (referred to as "Chengyi high-speed railway") and the new Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway from Yibin east to Yibin ("Yibin section of Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway"). The main line is designed to run at 350km / h and the total length of the line is about 264km.

The Chengdu-Yibin high-speed railway line starts from Chengdu East Station of Chengdu-Yi High-speed Railway and ends at Yibin Station of Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway, during which there are Tianfu, Sanchahu, Tianfu Airport, Ziyang West, Zizhong, Weiyuan, Zigong, Yantan, Nanxi North and Yibin East Station, of which only Chengdu East Station and Zigong Station are the existing stations.

The railway department said that the Chengdu-Yibin high-speed railway is a high-speed railway connecting Chengdu, Ziyang, Neijiang, Zigong and Yibin in Sichuan Province. It is China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network and is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming Corridor.

The line is expected to open this year, when the Chengdu-Yibin high-speed railway will become a fast passage from Chengdu urban area to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, and the time between Chengdu and Zigong and Yibin railway will be shortened to about 40 minutes and 1 hour.
