CTOnews.com noted that Changan Automobile has launched the research and development of new batteries and carried out the prototype cell design of new batteries such as lithium-sulfur batteries and metal-air batteries. It is expected that the energy density will exceed 1300-1500Wh/kg and will be put into mass production in 2035.

Chang'an Automobile conducted big data analysis on the "performance-to-price weight ratio" of new energy vehicles, and established a set of Changan model, which was defined as "New Energy vehicle Consumer acquired value Index (CVI)". By 2025, the CVI of similar products of Changan new energy vehicles will reach 95 and 40 respectively, with an increase of 5 per cent and 10 per cent every two years.

In terms of product layout, it is planned that by 2030, Chang'an will launch 8 self-developed batteries in liquid, semi-solid and solid state, forming a battery capacity not lower than that of 150GWh. The first CTV technology will begin mass production in 2024, achieving group efficiency of 86 per cent of ≥.

In terms of system capacity, Chang'an has set up a battery research institute, which will invest 10 billion yuan in the future. by 2024, the battery team will exceed 3000 people.
