The new car has a longer wheelbase for the Chinese market and introduces a variety of "exclusive" configurations.

The new generation of 5-Series and i5 still inherit BMW's "fine tradition" of lengthening its wheelbase and body in the Chinese market, using BMW's latest design language everywhere. At the same time, the car still offers two kinds of appearance: the luxury set and the M set that focuses on sports.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new generation 5 series / i5 are 5175/1900/1520mm and the wheelbase is 3105mm.

Compared with the old 5-series model, there are also great changes in the car. The original iconic "chicken leg" gear has now been replaced by a lever shift next to the knob, with a 12.3-inch LCD meter and a 14.9-inch touch screen, a Bowers&Wilkins surround sound system and a four-zone automatic air conditioner that can be independently controlled in the back row.

The car also has a number of exclusive configurations and designs for the Chinese market, including a 31-inch suspension screen at the top of the rear seat. This entertainment screen has a resolution of 8K and supports real-time interconnection, and the overall design style and configuration are closer to the new generation 7 series.

In terms of power, the fuel version 5 series is expected to carry 2.0T engine and 48V light mixing system, maximum power 190kW, maximum torque 400N m. As for the i5 model of pure electric, according to the previous report of CTOnews.com, the declaration information of the single-motor model shows its maximum power 250kW.

In addition, the i5M60 xDrive will be equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system with a maximum power of 601hp, a peak torque of 820Nm and a zero acceleration time of 3.8s.
