He added that this requires strong cooperation between China and the United States, otherwise no long-term progress can be made. Drawing on his experience in giving priority to AI development at Google, he stressed that cooperation and communication "must be an integral part of the job."

Sandal Pichai believes that global cooperation in the field of AI has the same necessity as global efforts to deal with climate change, and that if something goes wrong with AI technology in a country, it will affect everyone on the Internet.

In addition, Sandal Pichai also talked about Gemini, a large language model that Google has not yet released, and revealed that the company's current focus is to launch version 1.0 of Gemini "as soon as possible," followed by a more technologically complex version. Gemini is a large language model trained on massive data sets that will compete with other state-of-the-art models in answering prompts in natural language.

Google's Gemini AI combines text generation capabilities similar to GPT-4 and supports "create images based on text descriptions" features, so the AI tool can achieve "chat conversations", "analyze chart data", "create images", and "even control software with natural language commands" and other functions.
