New feature tells about Natural Voice Preview in Human (Natural Voices Previews)

Developers are introducing natural voice previews from 10 new regions, including Chinese, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), Japanese, English (UK), French, Portuguese, English (India), German and Korean.

These previews will allow users to listen to natural voice before downloading the voice model. Please note that an Internet connection is required to listen to the natural voice preview.

Enhance the image processing ability of the narrator

Developers are improving the ability of the narrator in terms of graphics.

Developers have introduced a new keyboard command to quickly switch between images, and users can use the "G" or "Shift + G" keys to switch between read images.

The recognition of the text of the image (including handwritten text) has been improved, and the overall image description has also been improved. When the focus is on the image, users can try to enhance the experience by "narrating human keys + CTRL + D keys". This feature requires a valid Internet connection.

In Microsoft Word, narrators can now read text notes, comments, bookmarks, and so on in documents.

Windows sharing

Developers have significantly improved the transmission speed of users' local area networks to share nearby. Users now only need to be on the same network (which can be a public network or a private network) to quickly open and use nearby sharing to send files to other computers.

The sharing interface will now show only the applications bound to the account logged in to Windows, Microsoft account (MSA) or Microsoft Entra ID. If the user logs in using MSA, you will see Microsoft Teams (personal version) instead of Microsoft Teams (work or school), and you will not show both.

If the user logs in using Microsoft Entra ID, the user's Microsoft Teams (work or school) contacts will appear in the Windows sharing window for quick sharing.

Nearby sharing

If the user turns on nearby sharing through Quick setup or directly in the setup, and the user turns off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the system will automatically turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and if the user turns off Wi-Fi or Bluetooth after that, the system will automatically turn off nearest sharing.

Bug repair narrator

Fixed an issue where the narrator did not correctly say the selected item in the combo box when the user tried to use the key combination to change the window value.

Fixed an issue where the narrator would also read the name of the previous page thumbnail box when the user switched to a new page in the browser.

Fixed an issue where the narrator could not read the table control.

Fixed an issue where narrators in Microsoft Excel do not always read items in the list when writing formulas.

Fixed an issue where narration does not talk about the status information of the menu bar in a few applications such as device manager.

Fixed an issue where you could not distinguish between "unselected value" and "newly selected value" when reading the date field aloud.

Magnifying glass

Fixed an issue where the text below the Voice Speed slider on the magnifying glass settings page did not conform to the color contrast guidelines.

Fixed some issues that could cause the shared window to crash.

Copilot in the functional Windows that will be derived from the Beta channel
