CTOnews.com, November 16, according to the Science and Technology Daily, today, a sturdy pure electric shunting locomotive is off the line in CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd., which is the first high-power pure electric new energy shunting locomotive in China, tailor-made for Lianyuan Iron and Steel Group, and can realize super fast charging of "3 seconds one kilowatt-hour". After being fully charged, it can pull 1200 tons of goods to run 128km to meet the needs of hot metal transportation and shunting operation in iron and steel enterprises.

It is understood that the locomotive uses large-capacity lithium iron phosphate power battery as the only power source, with a maximum traction power of 1500 kilowatts, which is currently the newly built pure electric shunting locomotive with the largest power in China. The locomotive is equipped with the first 1200 kilowatt ultra-high power liquid-cooled fast charging equipment, which can realize the super fast charge of "one kilowatt-hour electricity in 3 seconds". After being fully charged, it can pull 1200 tons of goods to run 128km, effectively solving the problems of high pollution and high fuel consumption of traditional diesel locomotives. Compared with diesel locomotives, each locomotive can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 150t per year, save energy costs by about 1 million yuan, and reduce life cycle costs by more than 20%.

CTOnews.com noted that the locomotive is also equipped with intelligent control technology, which can realize omni-directional monitoring of locomotive components and internal and external information. A new type of energy storage system is built, and technologies such as energy division, hierarchical protection, fire detection and automatic fire extinguishing are adopted to ensure the safety and reliability of power batteries. The cab adopts ergonomic design and green interior materials, the environment is spacious and bright, the functional zone is clear, and it is equipped with all-weather constant temperature air conditioning.

On the same day, CRRC signed a cooperation framework agreement with Lianyuan Iron and Steel Group and will conduct in-depth cooperation in many fields.
