CTOnews.com November 16 news, IDC yesterday released the third quarter tablet tracking report, that this quarter domestic shipments are better than expected.

Tablet shipments in the third quarter were about 7.05 million, down 3.4 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, the consumer market fell 4.3% from the same period last year, and the commercial market grew by 7.4% year-on-year. Shipments of major brands Huawei, Xiaomi and vivo are growing against the trend.

CTOnews.com found that IDC believes that the reason why China's tablet shipments were better than expected in the third quarter was due to the positive progress of mainstream brands in the consumer market, achieving business growth through technological innovation and expanding product lines; on the other hand, the commercial market also continued to restore growth.

In terms of the consumer market, China's tablet consumer market had ups and downs in the third quarter, and the market saw continuous breakthroughs in screen technology, chip solutions and software basic experience made by the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and terminal manufacturers. Also saw the manufacturers practically launched a more cost-effective popular style products stable basic plate, the market trend first suppressed and then rose.

In the third quarter, mainstream manufacturers launched a number of highly competitive products, and sales increased significantly during the summer.
