The Steve Award, established in 2002, has the reputation of "the highest honor in American business" and "business Oscar". The Steve Women's Business of the year Award focuses on women and recognizes the significant contributions of women entrepreneurs and their companies around the world to the industry. This year, together with Wang Shutong, she stood out from more than 1600 nominees. Other outstanding women who won the award included Carolina Garc í a Delgado, chief inventor of Talia Bender,IBM, chairman of The Female Quotient, a global organization dedicated to promoting women's workplace equality, Katalin Turza, vice president of service and procurement, and Lisa Caldwell, head of business consulting for Ernst & Young in the United States. The APEC Women Connect project, which has extensive influence in the world, was launched by Wang Shutong in 2016 to create the first community of digital entrepreneurship for women around the world in a way of "sharing, learning and motivation", so as to help more women realize their entrepreneurial dreams through digital platforms. Over the past seven years, the project has successfully trained more than 100000 female small and medium-sized enterprise personnel and trained more than 2000 female entrepreneurs, which has been recognized by the United Nations, APEC and other organizations and G20 leaders.

In 2023, on the basis of previous successful female empowerment programs, Wang Shutong launched the "Tashan International Women's growth Community".
