The satellite index reaches the advanced level of international water color remote sensing satellites, which can meet the main business needs of China's marine environmental monitoring, and can serve the major national strategic needs such as the construction of ecological civilization, intelligent marine engineering and the "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative.
The new generation of ocean color observation satellite, developed by the Fifth Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., is the world's first high-precision ocean color observation satellite aiming at a variety of global water bodies and using a variety of detection methods. it can realize large-scale continuous dynamic monitoring of global ocean, offshore, coastal and island, port water color, water temperature, sea ice, suspended matter, water ecological environment and other elements. Provide timely remote sensing information services for China's main waterways, maritime hot spots, important ports and so on.
According to reports, the new generation of ocean color observation satellites are scientific research satellites in the country's civil space infrastructure. The satellite is equipped with ocean color water temperature scanner, medium resolution programmable imaging spectrometer, coastal zone imager and other loads, which can improve the spatial resolution and spectral resolution of ocean color observation in our country, expand the detection spectrum band, realize rapid coverage of global ocean color observation, enhance the application level of ocean remote sensing satellite, organize network operation with Ocean-1 C / D satellite in orbit, and promote the sustainable development of ocean color remote sensing business in our country.
Compared with the previous generation of Ocean-1 satellite, Ocean-3-01 has achieved a great-leap-forward improvement in the types of ocean color products, product quality, detection capability and so on. With a design life of 8 years, the satellite can carry out high-precision, multi-spectral and long-time series observation of global ocean water bodies, meet the applications of natural resources, ecological environment, transportation and meteorology, help protect the marine environment and safeguard China's marine rights and interests.
The National Space Administration is responsible for the organization and management of the new generation ocean color observation satellite project, the organization and coordination of major issues and the examination and approval of launch permits; the Ministry of Natural Resources is the lead user department, the main user departments include the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Transportation and the China Meteorological Administration, which are responsible for the construction and operation of their respective application systems; Tencent App Center, the National Satellite Ocean of the Ministry of Natural Resources, is responsible for the construction and operation of the ground system. The China Academy of Space Technology and the China Academy of launch vehicle Technology of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation are respectively responsible for the development of satellite systems and carrier rocket systems.
The long March II C series rocket was developed by the first Institute of the Group Company.At present, there are two states: the basic state of the two stages and the configuration of the upper stage configuration of the Expedition 1 S. In view of the heavy satellite and high orbit, the long March 2C / Expedition 1S configuration rocket is used in this mission, which has the capability of launching multiple satellites with one arrow and deploying constellations. This is the sixth launch of this configuration rocket. The rocket optimizes a number of technologies and effectively improves the accuracy of the wreckage landing point and the accuracy of the whole flight time.
