CTOnews.com, November 16 (Xinhua)-- CEO Patrick Spence of speaker maker Sonos hinted today that 2024 will be a "major event" for the company, claiming that "some important new product will appear on the roadmap later next year."

"this is a project with a multi-year product cycle and we hope to get a return on a series of previous R & D investments that begin with a new multibillion-dollar category that we will enter in the second half of next year," Patrick Spence said.

CTOnews.com noted that about a year ago today, Patrick Spence decided to focus on four new product categories over the next few years. The announcement comes after officials unveiled the product category of business-focused Sonos Pro, a music subscription service for companies.

Sonos is likely to expand its headphone line next year with a range of headphone products aimed primarily at individual consumers, and the company's previous achievements in speakers are also well suited to the development of such products.
