CTOnews.com, Nov. 15 (Xinhua)-- Apple today released the sixth beta version of visionOS on the Vision Pro head display, which includes two new tutorial videos to guide users to use the head display.

One of the videos, called "input training (Input Training)," demonstrates how users interact with visionOS by staring at interface elements and using double-click gestures, saying: your eyes and hands are the way you operate on Apple's Vision Pro. You browse the system by staring, and it responds to your eyes. Just look at an element and tap your fingers together to select it. It's like clicking on Mac. To slide, squeeze your fingers together and wave them gently. You can put your hands in a comfortable position, such as on your legs.

On Apple's Vision Pro, the built-in camera creates a user-like "Persona" that will be used in video chat apps. The second video shows how to record a character, and the head display uses the EyeSight external screen to guide the user to enter a character: to set up your character, you need to take down the Apple Vision Pro to capture your appearance. Get ready slowly and make sure there is nothing to cover your face. To start shooting, raise the Apple Vision Pro to the height of your eyes. Keep your arms and shoulders relaxed and follow the instructions. Turn your head to the right, to the left, up, down. Then take pictures of your facial expressions, shut up and smile, grin, raise your eyebrows and close your eyes. When you're done, put on the Apple Vision Pro and take a look at your character.

As CTOnews.com has previously reported, the character entry process requires users to remove anything that obscures their faces, such as glasses. Apple allows users to choose from a variety of preset glasses. In September, Apple began to survey developers with Vision Pro about their characters and ask for their opinions on facial expressions, appearance matching, and so on.

The Vision Pro will be available in the United States in early 2024 for $3500 and in other countries later that year.
