CTOnews.com, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) Tesla's children's version of Cyberquad electric four-wheeled vehicle, which was recalled last year because it did not meet product safety standards, can now be bought at Tesla's online store in the United States. The $1900 Cybertruck-style toy car, Model 915, is an upgrade to the Model 914 launched in December, and orders for the Model 915 are expected to start shipping at the end of November.

Like Model 914, the new Model 915 was developed by Tesla and well-known children's toy manufacturer Radio Flyer. Radio Flyer's most famous product is the Little Red car. The electric four-wheeler has a 500W motor with a top speed of 10 mph (parents can adjust to 5 mph) and a maximum range of 15 mph, as well as LED headlights and taillights.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall of the Model 914 in October 2022 because it thought the product was more suitable to be classified as a teenager ATV (all-terrain vehicle) rather than a toy car. At the time, the Cyberquad children's version of electric four-wheeled vehicles did not meet the federal mandatory safety standards for teenagers ATV, which were stringent because ATV had a high risk of injury.

In addition to changes to the rear suspension, the Model 915 has made some changes to ensure that the product complies with CPSC regulations and ASTM F963 toy safety standards, including raising the applicable age to 9-12 years (originally 8-12 years), a tire inflation warning label on the left front fender and another warning label clearly stating that the product is not a teenager ATV and that it is "not suitable for off-road use".
