In response, Intel launched a strong Agilex FPGA portfolio to help developers quickly build cloud-to-edge solutions in complex design environments, while meeting the needs of programmable logic at all levels with flexible, customized platform features and strong scalability. Recently, Intel disclosed its latest FPGA product roadmap.

● Intel Agilex ®3 FPGA Series: small form factor, significantly optimized in power consumption and cost, and extensive IO support. Among them, the upcoming Agilex 3 B-Series FPGA is aimed at circuit board and system management, including server platform management (PFM) applications, while the C-Series FPGA provides more functionality for a range of complex programmable logic devices (CPLD) and FPGA applications for use in the vertical market.

● Intel Agilex ®5 FPGA Series: uses the second-generation Intel ®HyperflexTM FPGA architecture and Intel 7-process process to optimize transistor performance per watt for excellent energy consumption. At the same time, it adopts the industry's first AI-optimized module embedded in Intel's previous generation of high-end products, and extends it to the mid-range products of Agilex 5 FPGA, providing an ideal choice for edge AI applications. Among them, the Agilex 5e series FPGA has been optimized in terms of power consumption and size, and will gradually provide samples to early experience customers from the fourth quarter, and begin to deliver engineering samples and related design software in large quantities in the first quarter of next year.

● Intel Agilex ®7 FPGA Series: with CXL for increased bandwidth and connection performance, and with HBM for faster memory access, the Agilex 7 M, F and I Series FPGA with performance-to-power advantage is now available. Among them, compared with other similar FPGA products, Agilex 7 FPGA R-Tile has increased the PCIe5.0 bandwidth speed of each port by 2 times and CXL bandwidth by 4 times, and has been shipped in large quantities.

It is worth mentioning that, in addition to a comprehensive FPGA portfolio, Intel also builds structured ASIC solutions. Compared with FPGA,ASIC, it takes a long time to develop and can meet the requirements of lower power consumption and unit cost. The Intel ®custom logic combination of FPGA, structured ASIC and ASIC is designed to support the diversified needs of the market for different power consumption, cost and time to market with high flexibility.

At the same time, in order to enhance the portability of versions and facilities, simplify the FPGA development process and improve ease of use, Intel continues to invest in software and IP function development, providing supporting software stacks such as Intel ®Quartus ®Prime, Open FPGA Stack (OFS) open source version, and Intel FPGA AI suite, which are specially built for the full range of FPGA. Currently, thanks to the latest release of the open source version of OFS, developers have free access to open source hardware code, software code, and technical documentation for platform and workload development.

In the face of the rapid growth of AI application scenarios in cloud, network and edge areas, as well as the increasing demand for diversified products in the market, Intel is also committed to providing FPGA-based AI scalability from edge to cloud with full stack FPGA products to flexibly run a variety of workloads and fully release AI potential to meet current and future challenges with lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
